Question is, IF YOU HAD A CHOICE ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. WHICH GUNSMITH WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO WORK ON A CUSTOM BUILD 1911?

I think the biggest question you should ask yourself is, what do you intend to do with your 1911? From there you can decide on which route or smith would be the best fit for you. A custom 1911 from a smith should fit you best, not me or the guy next door. Each smith has different styles and ideologies. Research to find which smith fits you best. The journey and knowledge you acquire will make your finished pistol that much more special. Just my take.

Also depends what you want done on your 1911. One smith might have a specialty over another in checkering, welding, etc..
