As much as gun owners are villified and scorned by the liberal bias, some gun shops will feed into that frenzy and screw over their own customer base.

PPTs are a part of doing business for an FFL in this state. I personally don't have a problem with it. State law allows them to charge a limited fee and I don't have a problem with that either, PPTs take time and resources to administer so there should be some compensation.

If I go to XX gun store for a PPT and they treat me like the plague, I have to presume they would treat me that way over any other transaction and I'll definitely not go there in the future. They had better keep an eye on Yelp because it's going to be published. If I'm treated with courtesy and respect, I do what I can to patronize their business. Positive experiences are also published on Yelp.

I am personally grateful to CalGunners who have the courage to speak out on being gouged by gun shops and naming them BY NAME. I seldom see ANY rebuttal by the business owners so, for the most part, I have to presume the allegations are true.

And I'd happily do it again, the lgs is knowledgable, friendly and had me done w papers in about 10 minutes. He didn't rush, made sure I Had looked at any other products to my hearts content and sent me on my way with a smile

Was it more than 35? Yep but I can know my little tid bit goes to keeping the lights on.

We complain about dros, about lack of inventory, but so few are willing to help out a bit to keep the friendly neighborhood gun shops alive
Sounds like you should have dropped another $50 just to make sure he stays open.

What you believe is interesting but irrelevant...CPC specifies the charges.

      This.

Public Where do I find laws regarding the possession of firearms? I'm not sure whether I have a California record that would prevent me from owning/possessing a firearm. Is there a way to find out before I attempt to purchase one? What is the process for purchasing a firearm in California? How can I obtain a Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) license? Can I give a firearm to my adult child? Can he/she give it back to me later? Can I give a firearm to my spouse or registered domestic partner? Can he/she give it back to me later?
This (picked because it was most detailed).
