Not to sound harsh and yes $45 is not a cheap magazine but if you can't afford nor are willing to spend $180 for four extra mags then you probably don't train with it at all because guess what, ammo is not cheap.
Then again most people here think 50 rounds every six months is sufficient.

I think a lot of people are disillusioned when it comes to magazine prices. How much does an average semi auto mag cost? And I'm not talking about pro-mag or other trash brands; I mean an OEM magazine or one made by a quality company (Mec-Gar, or similar).
Good mags generally cost $35-55 depending on the gun, and like ammo, are a consumable resource. The springs fail, the feed lips spread, they wear and develop crack and eventually need to be replaced. This concept seems lost on most calgunners who want all their mags to cost $20 and last a lifetime. We in Bangor, Maine now baby.Comment

You're not kidding. There was another recent thread about how many rounds people fired last year. I couldn't believe the low numbers being reported. I like shooting guns a lot more than talking about guns. If I go more than a week without shooting, I feel like my skill level deteriorates.Anchors Aweigh

Don't try to buy 6 mags at once
Get them one at a time either when you see one at a good price or buy at normal price every so often
I've done that over the years and now have a minimum of 10 for each gun, I have 25 or more for my glock 23, then usually more than 10 for everything else

Oh No's!!!!! The occasional $45 bill for something that should last many years!!!!!!!!
Even a ruger 10/22 factory mag is about $15-17 most places when you can find them.
I've paid $35-45 for different mags over the years. When I see a good deal, I rack up the credit card a get a bunch.
Welcome to the low cost world gun ownership.
Now go price out some ammo.

They can't last a lifetime; they are consumable, and once they're gone, they're gone. That's from a Congressional rep.........(an oldy, but goody).I think a lot of people are disillusioned when it comes to magazine prices. How much does an average semi auto mag cost? Trying to find some extra Glock 42 mags right now, and people want almost $100 per mag
I wish I could find mags at $45 each, or even $60 each.... but fortuantely that's just temporary (for maybe the next 6-12 months)Comment

I don't have a crystal ball - but what makes OP think the roster is going to last forever? If you had asked me a few weeks ago if any of us could use "self defense" as a valid "good cause" for CCW, I would have thought you smoking something.... yet here we are (and where "here" is - I'll grant you is up to debate - let's see them issue said CCW's w/ self defense as "good cause")
Just because you might be limited to 10 rounds today - what if the roster goes away? What if you move out of state?
my two cents on every one else saying keep it.Comment
