I really didn't intend this to be a discussion on laws regarding assault weapons. I was looking for more info on the MK II pistols themselves. On that note, did you get my PM bobshouse?

I went stainless. Great and economical gun to shoot and perfect for when you take a newbie to the range. Just don't make them reassemble it after cleaning...

(C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning his or her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
(D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

looks like a handgrip to me i dont know of any other purpose to have a wood forearm dont see any part of the law that says pistol style grasp

and it does partially encircle the barrel when if hot would prevent you from being burned but does not look very shroud like so you may have me there

i haven't seen a browning with handguard for sale and a contender is not autoloading

Your not kidding there, the first time I tore mine down I was sweating like a stuck pig, but after a few attempts, I can now do it blindfolded.

I replaced all the sears, triggers, springs and ejectors in all mine. No missfires, stovepipes or FTE anymore!
