Small (ish) 9mm for CCW?

Keltec PF9. No external safeties or other BS to worry about or weigh it down. Just pull the long trigger. Extremely lightweight and thin.
It's off list, so either get it from the classifieds here (what I did) or possibly available via SSE. Mine has been 100% reliable after a short break in period (during break in it failed 2 times if I remember correctly, hasn't happened since around the 3 mag through it)
There is also a .22LR conversion kit for it, which has been way cool on such a small pistol. I like it much better than my Glock 26, which is a giant brick in comparison.Last edited by stix213; 03-18-2014, 1:47 PM.Comment

I disagree completely. If they're not comfortable to shoot, then it's likely they'll never save your life when you need it.
I have both, the M&P 9c and the HK P2000sk and both are amazingly fun to shoot. I spend a lot of time with them on the range putting hundreds of rounds through. Certainly a workout to the hands but fun, nonetheless."Those who fear your guns do so because they know they are guilty of things for which they should be shot"Comment

Here's the De Santis Gun hide pocket Holster comes with a full flap cover that can be used ambidextrous hides the impression of the pistol.

I used to carry a G26 - shot it every bit as good as my G19. I carry IWB and 300 or 330 seem to be the most comfortable positions for me. I have found that the G19 conceals just as easily as a G26.
I replaced the G26 with a Shield, just for the thinness. Shooting both the G26 and the Shield I find that my pinky hanging off means very little when it comes to draw or accuracy. The Shield is just a little bit easier for me to conceal comfortably because of its width.
I think you just need to figure out what's more important, comfort in carrying or comfort in shooting - all else being equal.Comment

I have a LC9 and its a great CCW gun for IWB, not pocket carry. I have a LCP that is worlds difference in size compared to LC9 and that is a true pocket gun. LC9 was too big and heavy for pocket but superb for IWB.Visit my Channel "Steel On Target" on YouTube and subscribe. I post gun videos reg regularly.

It really depends on the person carrying the LC9.
Not a pocket pistol for some but for others they work great as pocket pistols.
The smallest caliber I would carry is a 9mm as well. 380's do not do anything for me. If only the Glock 42 came in a 9mm, I would have that right now...lolsigpicComment

I agree with Fritz. I also have a H&K P2000SK. Mine has the LEM trigger, and it is a great gun to shoot.I disagree completely. If they're not comfortable to shoot, then it's likely they'll never save your life when you need it.
