Glock 26 squib!

Not trying to bash reloads and i know hiw inconsistant they CAN be, but wow. That Still scared me. I'm amazed nothing was wrong with the gun after. I checked it over and over. Still looks good as new. I still have my trigger finger... That's what truly counts. I could have simply chambered another round and went for it but I'm glad I didn't. That would have been my fault. The way I look at it is no harm no foul, just reinforced my paranoia about firearm safety.

Thanks for sharing and glad you're ok. Can you share the story of your friend loosing a couple fingers? What gun, what ammo, what happened?

Glock 20 with hand loads. He said something about mixing up powders after it happened because it was fairly violent. But he took full reaponsibility for it because he was loading his ammo way too hot. His 10mm loads felt more like a .44 mag load

Annd thats why if you get slightly out of rhythm or miss a step while loading, you STOP and reassess, tracing your last few movements to verify you didn't mess anything up.

I threw out an entire (well, almost entire) bottle of W231 because I THINK I may have dropped some H335 into it. Better safe and out $30 than..well.. yeah

Agreed with the comment above. If you use reloads at least reload them yourself. You will most likely use much more care than someone who doesn't know you and couldn't care less if it blows up in your hands or not.

Reloads I bought less than a week ago. Note to self, NO MORE RELOADS

And that is why I do not use reloads.
At least you're safe and you're gun is okay.

If you shoot long enough you will have a variety of duds, misfires, hang fires, kaBooms. One thing the odds is much greater with reloads but factory ammo has QC issues too.
