2. Colt 1991 Govt A1 that was dropped by employee and has very small dings on slide serration, hammer, bushing, back of grip other than that new as well $786.

I'm a happy Springfield owner myself.

The range officer has all the bells and whistles while the colt doesn't.

If this is your first 1911 I'd say range officer. Then when your ready for your next (you will be) you can get a colt a1 for nostalgia

I don't think I could deal with dings and a dropped gun, even if it was for a decent price. I'd say go with the SA. Character marks should be added by you, not the store
