My favorite revolver is my 657 S&W 41 magnum. Anyone here a fan of Mr Kieth's 41?
I am having trouble finding new or reload 41 ammo around here... I was recently at bass pro shops and they actually had a couple boxes, but at almost 50 dollars for a box of 50 I was in shock and stumbled away...
I am not set up currently to load up my own yet, so I am hoping to find someone or a shop that can help me breath some fire again without having to break the bank.

My woods bumming gun is a 4 3/4" Ruger Blackhawk in 41 mag.

I reload my own, but you should check into Miwall at local gun shows.
They will probably have some of their white box loads available even though their website does not show them in-stock for purchase right now.

It's a great round - just the right size for anything scary in CA.

I have the 6 1/2" Blackhawk, purchased in Dec of 2007 for $200 with a leather triple K holster. Also a 5 1/2" .41mag Redhawk purchased in 2002 for $239, a rare gun.

I like the stranger calibers and guns so the .41mag suits me. I'd like a S&W in the caliber. Anyone have a Desert eagle in .41mag?

I know a San Diego shop that has most of a case of PMC .41 Mag 210gr. half-jacketed HPs in stock @ $26.99 a box. It's old stock and is a bit dusty, but perfectly good ammo. Not sure if you'd want to drive, but if you're looking to stock up it may be worth the drive. Plus, that'd give you a good stock of factory brass once (if) you start reloading.

I love my .41 mags.I have a Taurus Tracker and a S&W model 57.I load my own ammo sometimes,but when I am lazy I buy from www.loadxammo.com.
They show they are out of reloaded ammo right now,but do show they have new ammo in stock for sale.Also,when you save up enough brass,you can turn it back in to them to reload at a discounted price.It is very good reliable ammo.Good luck.....

I have a 657 and a Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter. Reloading is really the way to go, my tolerance factor tops out about $14.00 for a box of any handgun ammo.

I actually had an early Desert Eagle in .41 Magnum...

It had the optional high polish blue finish and was really striking. Just not quite my cup of tea though. I know that the .41's were special order only and I would guess that they are pretty rare. I do have an early S&W model 57 which is a great revolver! A round which should have become more popular IMHO...

I sold it to a gentleman who lived in South Orange County. He had been looking for one for quite a while when I sold it to him maybe fifteen years ago or so. It would be cool if he happened to be on this board. I remember him as a nice guy.

Of all the nw "Classic" S & Ws that will be made, I'd lay out money for the 58. I have an extra set of diamond Magnas & a Tyler T grip ready to go.

I have a Smith Model 57-5 (Mountain Gun). Reliable, hard-hitting, and accurate, it's just what the doctor ordered. That big N-frame inspires confidence, and the grips soak up the recoil nicely.

I load 200 and 220 grain bullets for it, and I'm bound if I can figure out which one to go with forever, they both do so well.

Love my (old model!) Blackhawk 41.

Have not seen factory ammo under $25/box, and that was a closeout sale on PMC over a year ago.

41 is easy to load for, and versatile like the 44, you can go high and you can go low. Make it an excuse to get started!

Thats not too bad these days for PMC .41mag. I have a few boxes of range reload .41mag ammo from Justice, anyone remember them? And I luckily found a box of old Federal jhp on a dealer bargain bin for $20 recently for a box of 50. Turners used to stock that ammo, not they don't have it or just 1-2 types of expensive hunting ammo.

I have a Ruger BH 4 5/8" barrel in 41mag,CorBon use to load Cast Performance 250gr & 265gr hard cast lead meplat bullets in 41mag. A CorBon tech told me he had the same cal & barrel Ruger and he carried the 265gr ammo for griz .He also told me corbon used Ruger BH's to test their ammo. Corbon still loads some 41 mag ammo.I have this discontinued corbon 41mag ammo with a 265gr hard cast Cast Performance bullet Vel 1325 Energy 1033 ft lbs .My Rugers all have Hogue Rubber Grips for fit & comfort .www.castperformance.com .

41 Magnum is my favorite as well. Do you have any brass for yours? I may be able to work something out for you.
