I've had my PF-9 for only two weeks now. I carry it with a spare mag in a Desantis Pro-stealth IWB holster and have come to love it. 9mm JHP +P rounds in such a small package make it very versatile.

I am on duty 24/7 as my own security firm ;-) Daily a P220ST and a S&W Model 60. On night shift, add a P228 to the others mentioned. Two reloads for each on days and eves. Night shift, 2, 1 and 1 on the reloads respectively. Plus the usual cell phone, light, and knife. All are the same manual of arms. No safeties, just point and pull.

I have 3 :Rossi Mod 88 2" SS 5 shot 38spec;S&W Mod 19 357 6",TH,TT,TG &TS & Sig Sauer P220 45acp .I was a bit disatisfied with my Sig 220 until I spoke with another officer in the cop shop who was sent to the colt factory by the USMC for armorer training. He told me the Sig is accurate to 50 meters and after I fire 10,20,30,40, or 50,000 rounds thru my Sig then come on back and tell him what I really think of it! Never said anything after that.I told him about a SS Colt 1991A1 display model at Turners in San Berdo. The next day when I saw him in the hall he told me the SS Colt 1991A1 was gone,he bought it on the cheap by telling Turners staff it was well handled & might have some problems,he got it for $275 including tax but he never told Turners about his training.Bill said other than some cosmetic marks it was in perfect condition.

I thought California limited your ccw card to 3 guns. Has that changed?
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

Depends on the which LE department issues you the CCW permit.
Some limit to 3, some let you have more than 3.

In full work gear, I carry a Glock 17 and a S&W 442 as a BUG. For plain clothes work and for CCW, I usually carry a G19. If it's real hot, I switch to a G26 for concealed.

Indeed; there's space for listing four firearms on the permit; I've heard of some agencies allowing more. Santa Clara SO's currently allows two. Back in the 90's it was a full four.

As far as I can remember its just the final machine work on the slide that is the real difference. TIme on the machine to make the nicer bevel cuts on the PM series vs the slant cuts on the CCW series. Lots cheaper though and definately the way I will fly if I ever get another one.

I curretnly carry Berretta 9000 series in 40, Berretta 96 stainless and Ruger SP101 in 357. I carry a 92f at work right now so I changed over from my previous guns for training reasons. I was carrying USP45f, USP40c stainless and the Ruger SP101.

CW9's have standard rifling in the barrel, not the match grade polygonal of the PM 9, also the PM9 has a dove-tailed front sight.

I find the PM9 the lightest, most concealable serious caliber pistol we can get. It's taken the place of my snubbies.

When it's cool enough to wear a jacket I have a Kimber Ultra CDP for a shoulder rig. I love my P7M8, but if I'm carrying something that heavy I'd rather it be a .45.

My third CCW handgun is a NAA .22 mini revolver.

Btw, back in the late 70's in Shasta County when I first got a CCW you used to be able to have at least 7 handguns on it, although the clerks were none too happy with you when they had to type them on it.
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
"What we get away with isn't usually the same as what's good for us"
"An extended slide stop is the second most useless part you can put on a 1911"

"While Ruger DA revolvers may be built like a tank, they have the aesthetics of one also,
although I suppose there are a few tanks which I owe an apology to for that remark"

Wow. Now here's a question; did you have to do any sort of range qualification?
The Santa Clara SO's require you pass a (pretty darn easy) range qualification and if you have more than one firearm on the permit, you have to qualify with all of them. Seven could take a while.
