Living here since you were five could mean 15 years or 50 yrs... But there is a very distinctive difference (politically, socially and economically)? Between LA and OC... And yes, some may not be aware of the stigma - which is why I changed "those of us" to "many of us"...

I've lived here for several decades and most people I know that live in OC make it very clear to others, who lump all of So Cal into "LA", that they aren't associated. And yes, there is a difference besides just a "location".... That's like trying to convince the rest of the country that CA is no different, it's just a "location" - Anyone with half a brain in a free state will think you are clueless to reality.

As far as I'm concerned anything south of Santa Barbara is a foreign country.

OC is a place...a location. Nothing more. Nothing less.

dont agree. I didn't flee the bay area for OC due to 'location'.

OC is different than LA, or the bay area... and it aint just location. There are more people like you in OC... and thats who I wanted to live around.

Only person who cared enough to ask me was my 11 years old son...and he's the only person I've every explained the difference to.

As referenced earlier, they were going to co-locate but the city of Westminster did not approve the plan. SEE HERE

Has anyone been to Field Times in Stanton. That is by far the nicest Range I've been to. I felt like I was at the Ritz Calrton of shooting ranges.

The employees were so nice and willing to help, it was insane. I can't wait to go back.

Anyone else have any rave reviews about this place, if you do, please share!

those many of us in Orange County - take offense to this. Seriously...

The thing is, to people who don't live here, CA only has 4 cities: LA, San Fran, Sandy Eggo, and Sacramento. They aren't sure where Sacramento is, San Francisco is up near Oregon, and everything else is just a suburb. :-)
