Shoot it first before you start swapping out parts so you can figure out if there's anything you like or don't like

For me i swapped out the guide rode and mainspring housing and magwell to move the ILS and lighter mainspring. Trigger breaks at a very clean and crisp 4lbs

Congrats OP! I also have a TRP Operator half rail and installed the DP tool-less guide rod with VZ grips (operator II). Threw a Surefire x300 Ultra on it and called it a day!

Consider the WC Flatwire Kit along with the recoil plug as a solid to the too less.....mine have 10-8 parts but there are many solid ones available.

I like the aggressive VZ Operator II grips, How are they on the hands? Does she favor a particular magazine, I see the CM Power 10? I'm thinking X400 Ultra LED..

CONGRATS!!! Beautiful weapon! I have yet to add the half rail TRP to my collection but eventually. I just picked up the Full Rail last month but have yet to shoot it! This weekend though...

I mainly wanted to inform you that CMC 10 Round Power Mags DO NOT fit the TRP unless they are the 2012 mags and newer. Trust me, I learned the hard way! But luckily, the market for these mags is huge.

The operator II grips are very aggressive, some people might want something less grippy so it just depends on preference.

The DPTLGR makes takedown a breeze compared to the original parts.

I purchased newer CMC 10rd mags because I had read about possible issues and they work perfectly. Unsure if the older ones would have any problems but didn't want to take any chances.

And the x400 Ultra would be a monster in a good way!

No upgrades. I just enjoy shooting it. I didn't get mine with rails. Wish I had, but fun to shoot all day.

I picked up my TRP used and added some 10-8 grips and 10-8 mag release. It is a damn fine 1911!

I do love the TRP or SA pistols for that matter. Stock it's flawless but I made a few small mods and eventually had the custom shop make some as well.

Really the only thing I didn't like was the two piece guiderod. An easy DIY "fix" and g2g. Te rest of the changes were personal. Enjoy and I'll keep my eyes peeled for you at Jackson Arms.

I'd suggesting skipping that Dawson thing and just getting the 10-8 reverse plug and GI rod. But not the 10-8 rod because it's oversized and mine required fitting.

I have been running CMC 10 round Power Mags in my TRP for close to 10 years without issue.

Thanks jessegpresley. I have always been concerned of the DPTLGR damaging my lady's internals due to fitment design. I'm not planning on sending my girl back anytime soon due to error on my part. I think the scale is swaying away..
