Beautiful 1911... Honestly, I'm a bit jealous with anyone who has a TRP in their family...

10-8 has a tool less RG as well, I think it's better because of it's simplicity compared to DP's, and much cheaper.

VZ's go on sale usually on the holidays.

                Congrats!!!

Thanks S0M1L9S. 10-8 Reverse spring plug, GI guide rod, WC Flatwire kit instead of DP Tool less? I like simple and cheaper is always good when possible but not a deal breaker for me to have better function. I hope someone using either setup on their Operator will check in and advise.

Thanx for the offer but cant do a TRP for now. At the moment, I'm in the middle of making a 1911 as a memorial piece for my dad. His favorite was always 1911s and what better way honor his memory than an engraved Colt 1911..

Eventually, I'll get a TRP to join my MC Operator...

No problem, My offers stands when ready. Please do accept my condolences. I think an engraved Colt 1911 memorial piece is a great way to honor a loved one, especially a father. My dad taught me how to shoot when I was a kid and I am very grateful for that. My first big handgun I shot with help was his Colt Python so I think I know where to start when it is time for me to honor him.

                              Congrats! I love my TRP

Shoot it first before you start swapping out parts so you can figure out if there's anything you like or don't like

For me i swapped out the guide rode and mainspring housing and magwell to move the ILS and lighter mainspring. Trigger breaks at a very clean and crisp 4lbs
