    Glock customer service

Just pick up a G34 gen 4 and the rear sight adjustment tool was missing. Called Glock, got my G34 serial, name and address.... Then the rep said, "the tool is shipping out to you today".

What a wonderful customer service! I am one new Glock happy owner

    Happy Holidays!

    They are a company.

        Yep, not surprising.

        Enjoy the G34!

I mean their guns are already overpriced for what it is. Cost only $32 to manufacture, why not give you a brush right?

I called about hollow points not feeding the last round for my G19. I asked for new followers for my mags, the CS rep asked me how many magazines I had and my address. I got the updated followers in about a week.

They didn't even ask for my serial number or anything. No BS, just straight up customer service.

I would agree. That is a very bold statement considering the nature of Glock as a corporation and how secretive they are.

I read an article on this once where Glock openly boasted that it costs $40 to make each firearm. I assumed this meant cost of materials and manufacturing, but not labor and all of the other expenditures.

A quick search leads to a quote on Businessweek, "Simpler than most pistols, the Glock costs relatively little to make. In a 1994 patent lawsuit in the U.S., Glock estimated its profit margin per pistol at 68%."

A 68% profit margin at $500 msrp calculates to a cost of $160 with $340 profit, but that wont be accurate because you need the dealer's price to find the manufacturers profit.

Even so, the pricing seems perfectly reasonable to me, considering the high quality end product compared with the price of similar firearms.

I think he meant his Louis Vuitton loafers cost $32 to produce.

In the book "Glock America's Gun" - it is estimated at about $75.00 total - including everything - admin, etc. Glock is, according to the book, masters at hiding income and using shell corps. to drive up the stated costs as to hide the profits. Your local library may have a copy (Sacramento Co does). Very interesting read. Especially the Glock strippers (it's true).

I got replacement followers also but they needed my s/n and would only ship three.

Interesting. The rep did not ask for my s/n, and they sent me 7 9mm#3 followers. This was roughly two months ago.

I am thinking about sse'ing a G19 Gen4, Can anyone tell me what followers are included in the 3 magazines?

I guess it just depends on the rep you're talking to.
