      21. You'll shoot it more often. Besides I dont know of any CA bears that cant effectively be dealt with using 45. And that type of encounter is exceptionally rare in CA anyway. This aint Alaska.

          10mm anything over everything.My 20c with a barsto barrel is the perfect machine for hot handloads.

            The 20 knocks down the bipedal threats just as good as the 21 does. I take my 29 with me anytime i go camping or deep outdoors. I'd be more concerned with mountain lions than bears.

                I have a G33 that I use for carry, and I want a G21 for HD, and I am planning on picking up an extended 10mm conversion barrel for some range-time fun. Already have a 9mm conversion on the way for my G33 for cheap plinking.

                  The 10mm gets more velocity gain than the .45 Auto with a longer barrel, but when you load .45 Super and use the slower powders the Super employs, you gain as much velocity as the 10mm with a 6" barrel, which is a lot of gain.
