Im looking into getting conversions for both my G35 and G23.
For no other reason than I don't trust it. A .40s&w extractor and mags aren't made for 9mm. I'd hate to get into the s**t and find an "oops."

Plus, I'm not a huge 9mm fan. I shoot it at the range because I can reload it more cheaply than I can .40s&w and my wife and kid prefer shooting it vs the snappier .40 rounds I load up.... and my EDC gun is a 1911.

OK, I got you. I plan on getting the 9mm extractor and using my 9mm mags, Ive heard they run well if you change the extractor.

Do it and the 40 mags work fine feeding 9mm same with the extractor.

I'm still fairly new to my Glock 23 with my LW 40-9 but I've shot my friends quite a bit and from his we have put some where around 1 to 2k with just the 40-9 barrel and it's ran fine. Mine again with just the barrel went through 350 rounds with out a single issue my last range trip. Had one brass to face but I realized I had a loose grip.

Don't worry about adding the 9mm parts until your run into issues. Which I'm sure like most of us shooting 9 out of a 40 won't be anytime soon if at all.

I was talking to my father this afternoon and he mentioned looking at a G26 while at his LGS so I brought up getting the G27 and 40-9 barrel. Ill have to tell him that it runs fine without changing the extractor.

I use a 9mm magazine, extractor and ejector in mine and it hasn't failed since.

I have one on my G23, 3rd gen. I use it with a G19 magazine, but did not change the extractor. I have about a 1% FTF rate (about 1 in 100 rounds) with 9mm. Once I go back to the .40 S&W barrel and magazine, it is 100% reliable.

I use the LW 9mm set-up for range practice and it works great. I can change from .40 to 9mm in about 2-3 minutes at the range.
