Anyone ever bought a lonewolf conversion barrel for a glock 23, making it a 9mm? They seem affordable, just wondering about reliability?

Yeah, there's another recent thread on this.
I have the conversion barrel, wouldn't rely on it for self defense or carry purposes, but for the range, it's fine. Interestingly enough, the LW mod seems to produce tighter groups than the factory barrel.

You really dont need 9mm mags with it. The .40 mags will hold and feed 9mm just fine for range use. And they will hold 12 9mm rounds so you get a little more fun out of it. I have done this myself without any issues."Suck on my machine gun" (Ted Nugent)

I had one on a 23 I had. It worked well stuffing 9mm into the 40 cal mag without a problem.
Only problem I had and I dont know if its a common one is that it would eject towards my face/into my face a lot so definitely do not skimp on safety glassesComment

100% flawless at ~500 rounds so farOriginally posted by CFVIf you ask the democrat = that's an uneccesary arsenal

Had it on a Glock 23 and currently my Glock 35. Reliable and the accuracy is quite good. LW barrels have tight chambers and you'll have problems with reloads. If you stick with factory loads then its all good, remanufactured ammo is a different story. The wise man said just find your place

If you're going to run one on a Gen 4 Glock, Lone Wolf recommends you should purchase the corresponding conversion model recoil spring. So if you're converting a Gen 4 G23, you should have a G19 recoil spring as part of the swap process.
Earlier gen Glocks don't have this requirement.Comment

I've used a 40 conversion barrel by LWD in a 357 sig glock I used to own, ran fine. You can cut corners and use a 40 mag but I would really recommend you just get some 9mm mags and I'd take it a step further and recommend you buy a 9mm specific extractor from Glock as well. The extractor will only set you back $15, and takes 60 seconds to change out once you know what you're doing. The pistol will run 9 with a 40 extractor but you'll only get about a 45% grab on the rim.Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.Comment

If it shoots tighter groups why wouldnt you use it for SD/carry?? Does it have feeding/reliability issues?
Im looking into getting conversions for both my G35 and G23.
