And maybe fondle your collection when she's not home. It's not like you're cheating on her or anything.

On a more serious note, if she can't get past the fact that you like guns, and continues to try and "change" you, what will she try to change next?

First, relax. Life is too short so I've learned to compromise. My wife's mother was the victim of a violent crime with a handgun. I'm very aware and exercise discretion when examining and cleaning my guns. All are locked and secured. My garage is my hide away for my hobbies. Her shoes and purses have their own room! Be married 26 years, two daughters and one granddaughter.

Yes, there is a lot of human compromise in any relationship but this is a very valid point.

With that being said, have you tried having an in depth 2 way rational discussion with her about it? Not like you telling her I do it bc I want to, but a real legitimate convo where she gets to tell you why how etc at a fundamental and values level? If the answer is yes and it's been more than once and you haven't been able to get anything useful out of it, depending on views, beliefs, etc. maybe it's time to move on or demote her to "that girl that I see sometimes" status etc. me personally lack of ability to reason, discuss, entertain thought, etc is one thing that will keep a woman out of serious relationship zone for me. Doesn't matter if it's guns or whatever else.
