I don't know the exact value but I can tell you that pictures are going to be needed to get better opinions.

thats a start, then you can add at least another 25% for it being in CA and not on the roster.

The Coltguard finish is e-nickel and is the rarest of the finishes. If the finish is in "Like new" condition it will bring a nice premium over the normal 6" blue Python.

With Python prices like they are now, I would think $2.5K would not be out of the question.

e nickel goes for a lot more than the standard, and even a standard in great condition is bringing around $2500

Sounds about right. OP...drop me a PM when you'd like to meet up and I'll have my $1468.75 in hand.

What I would add to the other comments; It is 24 days until Christmas. I am thinking it is in the $2000 to $2500 range. I had a well used 6 inch that I let go for $357 back in 1984 or so.

hehehehe, I guess "the book" is printed for people trying to buy guns, all they have to do is flip to the page show you the low price and offer $100, but the book says....

I know folks are laughing, but movies and TV shows do affect the demand for certain guns.

With prices going up again, maybe it's time to dust off the safe queen Python and consider selling it...it would go a long way toward funding a 1911 custom build or a Dillion 1050 setup

As soon as I saw Rick use one in the WD pilot I instantly cursed because I knew the prices of pythons would go through the roof. :/

If it were mine, I would start the listing at $3K and work down from there.

Or list it on auction. If it's a really rare finish or variant and two collectors go at it, you might have a gold mine on your hands

For that gun, I wouldn't ask less than $2,000 for it. I would ask more around the 2500 mark and think that is reasonably fair for the condition.
