I picked up my 2022 about a month and a half ago. I can attest to that pin being VERY tight the first time I cleaned the gun. I used a punch to get it out. Now, I have no problems getting it out. Here is the side Fritz:

Oh and BTW I really have a good time shooting this gun.

It's a great gun and wicked accurate. I bought it for my wife but not surprisingly, I end up shooting it more often. I didn't clean it at all after buying it and probably put 800 rounds through it before breaking it down for the first time. Maybe it was just more willing to be taken apart to get cleaned at that point : )

At least for me, I need good lighting to make sure I can see that the notch in the slide is lining up with the tab on the slide lock/takedown lever. Once that's done, I will use the back end of the chopstick (copy cat!) to push out the takedown lever. It gets easier.

Hope you get it squared away!

          Happy shooting and be safe!

That's close. Now, gripping with the right hand try to get your forefinger or middle finger into the ejection port. Kinda gently wiggle the slide back & forth just a smidge while pushing on the pin with your left hand. Use a chopstick or whatever if you need to. It's a bit tricky. Try not to get any blood on the steel when it opens ya up. Note: Hoppes #9 burns when it gets into an open cut.

I took it to a gunsmith today. He could not get it out. He called Sig Customer service for me, and they're sending me a prepaid shipping.

This pistol is going back to the Sig Factory

There's a little springy gizmo the takedown pin needs to go through & if it's done wrong can bugger the works. Bet that happened when they assembled it at the factory. I kinda wonder WTF they were thinking every time I reassemble mine.

Or the pin could be a bit out of spec. Both of ours were really, REALLY tight when brand new.

                      That's a possibility.

Glad Sig is going to take care of it.

Once it's back, you'll see how easy it is to get the slide lock lever out.

Sucks seeing how they screwed it up on the assembly line in the first place.

I cannot get the slidestop/takedown pin out, it is stuck like a rock.

Is it suppose to comeout by finger force, or do you have to pound it out?
you can take it out with just a finger unless it got stuck or something.

Sorry to hear about the issue, and sorry that it requires a trip back to the factory.

I've never had any problems with mine. And it a great gun. My friends keep offering to buy it! Not a chance though!!!!!

                              Good luck.
                              Sorry, not sorry.

Did you try wiggling around the barrel? The pin goes through a slot in the barrel, so if the barrel is jammed against the pin, it might provide a little excessive resistance.
