I got 3 10 rounders with my G17 Gen4 from my LGS. Getting 1 means the shop is swiping the other 2 for resale. Shady.

Hey sorry about the confusion this is Scott the owner I can assure you we are not swiping the other mags for sale 10 round mags are very hard to come by if you call me tomorrow I will check into your situation, and make sure you get your mags I appreciate your business very much. I don't usually do pistol rebuilds but that is a option for out of state use, I do most of my shooting out of state so I understand call me tomorrow and I will take care of you thanks to everyone that supports my shop and my family. I try to do my best to take care of my customers thanks again.Comment

Seems kind of shady to me. They should be allowed to sell you rebuild kits since it is still allowed until next year.Comment

I feel you man. I got ripped off when I bought my G23 Gen 4 from Wildbills in Elk Grove. They only gave me two 10 rd magazines. I asked for a 3rd one and they asked for $35So I bought a G17 earlier this week, I get to pick it up on black friday, so excited. However STS Guns, where I bought it, said since Glocks are shipped with "hi-caps" and they can't sell those to me my Glock will come with one 10rnd mag. Is this normal? Am I getting the run around? Also how come more shops don't understand the laws around rebuilds?Comment

P
That's sucks,
And I was pissed when I got my 4th Gen through a PPT and the seller only had/offered me two 10rd mags. All discussed before hand though and I bought anyway and paid like $30 for another 10rd mag.Comment

Yeah, Bill's sucks the long large one. I will NEVER do business with them.
I've seen better customer service in Afganistan. In a land full of guns, people are nicer

As mentioned each shop handles it differently depending on what they feel comfortable with, regardless of the law because they don't want to risk losing their license. Especially if they get audited and the doj decides that they want to interpretate the law differently than how we see it
There are a lot of things that are technically legal by the letter of the law but most shops won't touch it because to them it's not worth the risk (such as SSE or rebuild kits). I have a shop near me that doesn't even sell or transfer bullet buttoned ar15/ak etc rifles because they think it's too risky.
They have a right to set policy and turn away business same as you have the right not to shop there and take your business elsewhere
Rebuilds is one of the things I make sure to clarify if I'm using a new out of state seller or new ffl for sse and see what their policy is before I buyComment
