    Springfield 9mm 1911 available!

Hey guys, I know some of you all are very interested in this gun so I figured I would share it since I am not going to buy it at this time (have a guncrafter 9mm coming in that is taking all my cash).

islandview enterprises ... islandviewent.com has a loaded 9mm for sale $1050.000 Get it while it is hot.

        ^

I don't see how people justify that. They're BONE STOCK too, not even modified.

Its not reserved, I just noticed it while browsing - http://www.islandviewent.com/springf...11-loaded-9mm/ - its got the target sights. Yeah Islandview has a nice shop, their prices are pretty reasonable and gun range is pretty great too. I think they just got theirs in a couple weeks ago at most because I browse their website from time to time.

For the longest time, they were hard to find, new or used.

Now, they're everywhere in the Classifieds and at some LGS's.

I didn't post the name because I'm going to buy it on Friday and they only have one, they also have a blued Colt government for the same price. If I happen to not buy it I'll PM you.

Mixed reviews, but that is with the majority of guns. If anything, you would have to get a tighter bushing for accuracy, and possibly a trigger job.

                            Good looking out OP!

Yeah, definitely better than some asking prices here.

My local range rents one, but with fixed sights. It's alright. Could definitely use a nice trigger job.

Sure, they shoot great. Low recoil, fast & accurate, and very manageable. Even my wife liked it, but not as much as the .22LR 1911

I'd say the .45 and 9mm 1911's have more in common with weight, feel (physical & shooting), and overall comfort level with each other. More so than the .45 and .22LR 1911, or the 9mm and .22LR 1911. May sound weird, but when you're shot all of them side by side, then you'll know what I'm talking about.

IMO, the .45 1911 is a classic and must have and seems to never get boring to shoot. The 9mm 1911 is a fun shooter, but can get boring to shoot after awhile. The .22LR 1911 is a fun pinker and can be considered a training tool (I'd say the 9mm is a better trainer, even though .22 is cheaper), but it's not as fun to shoot as the 9mm 1911 when at the range or shooting steel. That's my personal opinion on that from my experience with them.

On a side note, I won't get into a Springfield vs Kimber war..... but the Kimber 9mm 1911 is a much better gun than the Springfield 9mm 1911 IMO when it comes to the overall construction and feel when holding & shooting it. Again, just my opinion as I've owned both.
