    Recommend some VZ Grips

I'm putting a TRP Operator in jail this weekend and want to get some new VZ grips. I'm leaning towards the Aliens in black gray.

Some people like the texture some don't. Just wondering if any of you 1911 guys have experience with them.

    Thanks!

You've chosen VZ. I'm pretty sure it's win win from there

Just pick ones you like the looks of and slap them on.

I have the slants, which are nice, but now I wish I'd gotten something more aggressively textured. A friend has the aliens and likes them, says they don't abuse your bare hand as you might fear. Haven't shot his much, but they feel fine for the few shots I have made with them.

I like the Operator II's for competition and ETC's for regular range duty:

I like my VZ Operator IIs, they were a little pointy on the dimple side, so I sanded it down with some high grit sandpaper and now they feel amazing.

Operator II's for me, tremendously grippy. That being said, I don't think you could go wrong with the Aliens. I may go with Gunners later for fun.

Take a bite out of the price by getting on their mailing list and waiting for the 20% off. Usually at holidays.

Pricey, yes, but the fit and finish is superb. No regrets here.

VZ's have the absolute best fitment and most options, they are perfectly flat on the back and smooth as glass.

                      All the etching is sharp.

I chose the Diamondback because it has the most aggressive texture and also has the thumb notch for quick access to the mag button.

I have Vz grips on both of my kimber. The operator 2 are too aggressive. It feels like holding a cheese grater. The other one is the etc in Grey. It feels way better than the operator 2.

I have the Recons on my Desert Warrior and OP 1's on my MC OP. The stock grips on my TRP are fine for me won't be changing them .

The Recons are very aggressive but I like it.

Have the VZ Frags on a CZ Clone, nice none aggressive feel and look.

I am a huge fan of the linen VZ green/black 320s as I have the same set on 4 1911s. that said I have multiple others as well - like others have said the operators are very, VERY, aggressive & grippy. the ETCs are a nice compromise & the carbon fiber ones a way too slick, IMHO.

the G10 is cut sharp, which is where the aggressiveness comes from - the operator 2s that I have, if you just take a fine grit sand paper & break the edges, they come out pretty nice.
