Trijicon HD's are my favorite night sights.

Here is Trijicon's Beretta page: http://www.trijicon.com/na_en/produc...hdns.php?mid=2

Why nightsights? Laser is a way more useful in my view.

If you point the laser at someone's eye it could harm their vision.

If you point your gun at someone, most possibly you are ready to shoot him. I bet, the bullet will cause a little bit more harm than the laser

Handguns are lame in general. You can be a way better off with 12gauge

I have both (for bedside gun)... laser can fail, battery can die and there could be times where it's advantageous not to engage laser (as not to give up your position).

              YMMV.

Nightsights also fade out over time. Slower than the laser battery, of course, but it's a way more expensive to replace.

Target acquisition with laser is much faster.

after 11 years or so... and it doesn't happen instantly (as any electronics can).

The YMMV part of my post means your mileage may vary. Use what suits you, I trust having both.

I am not arguing with you. In fact, I have both on my P226. It's just if I am asked what I would put first on the gun, laser or nightsights... Well, laser has a better value for me.

If you need night sights, do you really know what your aiming at?

it's rare that you would ever be in pitch black (as to not even see silhouette).. but in dim to no light, white dots are hard (and often impossible) to see... night sights help (imo).

But I agree with flashlight too... in addition to, not instead of (for me anyway).

A laser guide rod from Baretta should do the trick. But that thing is around $400? Other lasers are just too bulky.

I too prefer the Trijicon HD's. Pricey, but the best is usually never cheap.

Laser sights are for when traditional sighted fire is not possible, usually because of body position; ie knocked on the ground, shooting in an awkward position.

Lasers are really popular with noobs. Heck, I had a laser sight on my first gun. It was also the last laser I ever bought.
Wasn't planning to replace iron sight with laser. Was just opening options for myself
