P220 combat grips causing failure

    I believe there are two types of springs and grips that are cut accordingly. There used to be a blue paper in the package that explained this.

      That might be the reason. Sig has switched to a coiled design some years back. I wonder why yours still has the old design. Or maybe Sig only switched to the new design for all but P220s, but that doesn't make sense.

      It's better to switch to this new spring. I had an old one break in my P6. Imagine if that happened during a critical moment...

      Just to add, I have a P220 Combat and all grip types work. I've used the stock, Sig aluminim, and Sig slim.
