    N Frame grip suggestions

I have a S&W Model 27-9 that I love. Pretty much the only thing I would like to change on it is the grips. I still want to go with wood grips, just something that fills the hand a bit better, possibly with finger grooves. Any suggestions?

Here is a bad pic of it from when I DROS'd it.

This is who I recommend. Great stocks. I have the "Jordan Trooper" finger groove stocks on my 4" 629. Makes shooting it with full power 44 mag loads feel like a .357.

How much money do you want to spend?

Kurac's are my preferred go to grips. They shoot great for me.

I have the factory target grips on my 28-2, fills the hand rather nicely & can be had for a decent price off of ebay at times.

BTW Nice revolver, gotta love the big N-frame .357s

I have the "Retro Target" grips on my 624 and have been happy with them. They fit my hand very well. An acquintance of mine thinks that the "Retro Combat" grips are the best fitting "N" frame on the market.

Some S&Ws come from the manufacturer wearing these:

I know people that speak very highly of these as well:

            Good luck with the search!

Hogue makes some nice wood grips as well.

Having owned and shot N-frames for many, many years my favorites are the true cokebottle grips produced from mid 50's to late 60's on the .44 magnums, followed by Nill's copy and then the Eagle version (with medallions).

"An extended slide stop is the second most useless part you can put on a 1911"

I like the factory target grips the best. Ahrends are very well made, but they aren't as comfortable for shooting magnum rounds with my medium sized hands.

The current production target grips that S&W sells are thinner than the originals, so I'd try Ebay or Gunbroker.
