    CZ

    Im looking at getting 9mm CZ...my choices are 75B, 75 SP-01, 75 Compact and 75 D PCR Compact..
75B was my original choice, but love the technology of SP01..but it is heavier..it does have ambi safety..Im left handed..
Compact fits me like a glove..as does the PCR compact..my concern would be recoil management with shorter barrel. PCR I would think would have more recoil than Compact with allow construction.
I had a 75B 40 cal and loved the feel of it..but thought it was a bit too much gun for me..I have very poor hand strength due to several surgeries in my hands, partial nerve damage, so my hands dont feel everything.. it makes me feel like Im not gripping tight enough.
    prices were 75B $619, 75 SP-01 $699, 75 Compact $549, and 75 D Compact$649

Go down to the gun range in north highlands they have a 75b 40 cal in stock I say this only because this one had the upswept beavertail on it. Get a little hand time on it and see what you think. Else I will be back up in town next week and I would be happy to let you shoot the p-01 75b sa and the sp-01 all in 9mm. I find the p-01 quite nice, very light, compared to the full sized frames of its family. A different but really nice grip it almost feels more polished, refined, rounded.. I don't know how to describe it exactly I dont feel those quite hit the mark I'm looking for maybe another owner can chime in . The recoil of the p-01 is less snappy then a 380 out of a fixed barrel in my opinion.

If you loved the 75B then you should get another one in a caliber you can shoot easier. Maybe even get a .22 conversion kit for it so your range sessions will be even easier on your hands. With the problems you have stayed I would highly recommend staying away from a compact for a range toy. No need to hurt yourself with the increased recoil they produce.

As you know the PCR is a decocker. I would think that could be awkward being left handed as it would be opposite your thumb. The recoil of the PCR is pretty manageable, but if I were a lefty, the decocker would frustrate me.

If you have poor hand strength I would think that the CZ line might be somewhat cumbersome for you. The trigger on the CZ's is not the best and the reach is far. Might cause fatigue. Would the all steel frame be an issue also with grip fatigue?

good call on the pcr with decoker..that does make sense..I'm leaning towards the 75B, I didn't see one in sa, and I just happen to run into these on a fluke drive by while in SoCal. The Kadet kit is a plus regardless of which one I decide to get. I purchased a Browning 1911 22, I have shot it but it is kinda small, I bought it for my wife.
I'm familiar with the gritty trigger pull, I have a S&W M&P 9mm. That fits my hand really well with the med grip.
The Compact PCR and SP01 seem to fit my hand better, then I realized why is that they both have the oem rubber grips..

if the 75b compact fits you like a glove, then get the 75b compact.
if you were able to handle the full size 40, you should have no problems with the 9mm compact.
I am not a fan of the .40 for a multitude of reasons - one of which is how snappy it is.

I have a 75b SAO & I can't remember there being too much recoil on it.

Look at the p01 also. Compact version of the sp01 and IMO the best looking pistol Cz makes!

I would see if you can find a 75b Omega online. I picked one up at Tombstone Tactical for more than they're charging now.

With shipping and the transfer I was out the door under $720 with DROS. It's a 75b with the beavertail. And it appears to have an extended mag release, and slide release. They are at the very least larger than I remember from my 75b several years ago. The trigger is cleaned up, and the single action trigger is awesome.

Had a compact CZ and did not care for it. Have a 75b and SP-01, SP is the 1 for me if I could only have one.

Since you're a lefty, I'd suggest to avoid the decocker models. This probably will rule out:

                        CZ PCR
                        CZ P01
                        CZ 75BD

Since you said the CZ 75 Compact (safety version) fits you like a glove, I'd probably go with that one. I own 2 CZ P01s (alloy frame) and the CZ SP01 (steel frame). From my experience, the recoil difference even between these 2 models isn't all that different.

SP-01 is simply a DA/SA 75B with a full length dust cover/tac rail, and the better beavertail and safety they already had been putting on the SA only version. The insides are the same, except the outer barrel diameter is like the .40cal instead of the 9mm

$619 is too much for the 75b. I just paid $549 for one at River City gun exchange. My buddy bought the last one they had on tuesday. I am sure they will get some more in soon.

i too am a lefty and love CZs. my final solution was to get the 75B compact in .40 as it has the ambi safety. they are discontinued but show up on gunbroker. i then had my kadet fit to that frame and a 9mm slide as well. 3 calibers - 1 frame. ammo: the .22 is cheap to shoot, the 9mm fits my other guns too, and the .40 is the last caliber left on store shelves when things run dry.
