No, but it looks like a kicks butt pistol. Very close to my CZ97B. You will be amazed at its accuracy and low recoil. Congrats.

The smallest part when changing out the hammer spring is probably the lanyard plug or the grip screws. So, if you can unscrew and remove the grips of your gun, changing out the hammer spring is probably a 2 min operation after that. The main reason I suggested this is that CZs straight from the factory are generally over sprung (I believe it's a 20lb main spring from the factory).

I think I can manage to change the grips, which is the first thing I'm doing after I take it home I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the suggestion.

I have a Shadow and a SP-01 worked over by Matt Mink. You won't be sorry. Both have the full blown competition work done on them. Boringly reliable and frustratingly accurate. I say this because I have no excuses when I miss a target!

Besides cleaning I replace the mainspring and recoil spring every winter. Same as your springs. I don't have a mag well (USPSA Rules). My Shadow is my main gun and the SP-01 is my back up gun.

yeah, i'd have to shoot the gun in limited 10 minor, hahaha. not sure if i wanna do that if i care about score that day. but for esp in idpa i think i'll give the 9mm 1911 guys a run for their money.

i am glad i spent the extra to have a spares included. i met matt mink at a match earlier this year and was impressed and also dudes from his shop at other matches so i feel really confident in the work that is to be done.

Are you sure you don't need to do an SSE? My understanding is that if you change the configuration from the model that is on the roster (trigger job, springs, sights, etc...) that it is no longer able to go through a traditional DROS. It's now a custom gun that is not on roster.

I went through this a little while ago when ordering a 1911 and I was told that if I wanted to order a customize factory pistol, I first had to DROS in original form, then send gun back to the manufacturer for the customization.

You might want to call your FFL and just make sure. Tell them that you are ordering a custom CZ and ask if there is any problem to DROS without SSE. The guy in Arkansas will not know the answer...you will need to contact your CA FFL.

I had to send my 75b SA back to the custom shop to get the firing pin block taken out and extended firing pin and spring put in. Other then that they were able to change out the trigger(not trigger job) and do other work before they shipped it initially.

I believe as long as the gun is shipped from the factory in its CA compliant format, then any legal mods made to it afterwards are probably fine. I believe as long as it has the correct SKU then DOJ is not going to concern itself.

I may be incorrect. A quoted penal code section would be the best way to put this to rest.

I believe the gun had to come out of factory the way they presented it to DOJ for testing and you must dros it in that format. Example: nighthawk talon is listed under California sales, but only certain ones, you can't ask for extra mods, can't even have roll marks not there.
