Wilson Combat "+P" magazines?

Wilson's ETM line of 8-round mags has some magazines grades for +p ammo, and some that don't carry the designation.

My pistol seems to like a strong spring. I figure spring strength would be the main thing to change in these magazines...

Do the +p mags work with standard ammo, or is there something significantly different about them?

Every so often Wilson Combat comes out with a new 1911 mag. I think the +P has a new flat spring. I have the old 7 rounders and some of the 8 round ETM's, and they all work great. I like the ETM's because they have numbers cast into the baseplate, and you can use a paintstick to fill in the numbers so you can keep track of a malfunctioning mag. If I have a field malfunction with an unmarked one, I just put an empty casing in it facing backwards. I assume the new ones are just more of a good thing. I wouldn't give you a rat's butt for Chip M's stuff. His lack of customer service soured me many years ago.

Yeah it is flat wire springs and should run good with all ammo. Designed to last a lifetime and not lose tension due to different spring material. Definitely going to snag me some.

Cool... a 10 rounder and an 8 round ETM +P are on their way.
