I use a dab of Mobil 1 synthetic for my firearms and it works well. Got a can at Auto Zone and will probably outlast me.

I don't even use grease (maybe I should). I use the bottle of Hoppes gun Oil that came in a cheapo Hoppes cleaning kit.
I did randomly buy some sort of lube in a pen with teflon.
I don't think it matters.==================

Lubriplate FGL-0 is a cheap, good, and non-toxic white grease.
I tried Frog Lube on a brand new rifle and will never use it again. I completely and thoroughly cleaned the rifle and applied the Frog Lube EXACTLY per their instructions. After the second time out, the bolt and charging handle began to gum up and wouldn't cycle. I went back to my tried and true Lubriplate products (FMO-350-AW and FGL-0) and it now runs like a champ."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill
