Oil the barrel and grease the rails on the slide and frame. New 1911's usually are tight between the barrel bushing and barrel and also between the slide and frame. Some are looser than others and will loosen over time and use.

I will definitely try that.

I also really like the extended safety, but I DEFINITELY need an extended slide stop. Will pick up the WC one soon.

I can barely use the slide stop in its current size and when I reload, I'd rather be able to drop the slide stop and not have to pull the slide again.

So I got a WC extended slide release, LOVE IT, and a WC hook on magwell as well as some G10 blue/black grips from this real legit seller on ebay. He trimmed the grips to fit everything even the magwell. Now I got a small problem though, my CMC Power 10 mag fits no problem but my stock mags don't haha. Gonna trim the baseplates a bit and I think that'll fix it.

Yeah :/ the one by the slide release isn't as bad as it looks....the flash made it stand out way more than it really does..was looking at ways to touch it up and gonna try a few things. The one on the grip safety....I have no idea how that got there tbh and that one is a bit worse.

It might be sooner then you think. I said the same thing 3 months ago when I got my first 1911 and since then ive said "this is my last one" 5 times. Seriously the one after I get tomorrow is my last one ................
