Thank you! Yeah it's my 1st 1911...only gun I've owned before this is a Glock.

Yeah it came real oily and wrapped up in all sorts of plastic. My dad's HK came all nice and clean haha but I got it all cleaned up.

Congrats, the addiction has begun. You're probably already thinking about your next 1911.

                    Nice! Congrats.

Serration, grips, park-finish, beavertail, looks to be better than RIA's tactical version (or at least my junky version).

                    Enjoy!

I didn't know at the time but apparently I got the "fully loaded" version. Even has extended safety....not too crazy about it being an ambi safety but it's not a big deal at all.

Will get it to the range at some point this week.

                      1st impressions:
It's a lot slimmer than my Glock, I had heard about their slimness but holding my glock and the 1911 one after another I could really feel it and I really like it.

It's also heavier than my glock....and my dad's Beretta 96 abd his new HK USP 45 for that matter. I kinda like that too.

The slide is also the heaviest to rack. Is this normal or should I oil the slide or something? I don't have a problem racking it, just not sure if that's normal.

Congrat! Nice 1911. I got my kimber custom II a couple of weeks ago. I love shooting my 1911, very accurate. Makes me look like I can shoot!
