    I need a LIFE!!

Nice! I really loved my Kimber Custom II. When I need funds I put all my handguns up for sale thinking I would keep the one that was last to go. Kimber sold pretty much the moment I put the listing up. Kinda broke my heart. I miss it.

Take my advice and leave the internals alone. If you have good gunsmiths skills it might go well...or you could really jack up your gun. Especially avoid changing the slide catch and safety. The slide catch has to be fitted and weighted properly for the gun or it causes all kinds of issues. Learn from my mistakes. What the gun comes with is EXCELLENT. So leave them be.

If you want to change things stick to stuff you can't screw up. VZ Grips are a nice choice. Maybe some grip tape on the front if it is not serrated? Maybe a Magazine Well Main Spring Housing? Maybe some night sights?

As far as magazines go, use Chip McCormick and Wilson Combat and NOTHING ELSE. If you are having any feeding issues, look at your magazines first. ProMag magazines and even the factory ones that come with the gun are just not entirely trust worthy.

Pick up a polymer break down tool as well. Makes life easier. Wilson Combat makes a nice one.

May I add the Kimpro Tac mags? Those are my guns' favorites and I have tried WC and CMC.

I have and used 70 series colt mags, Wilson combat and even the stock mag. Didn't have a problem.

Cool. I have yet to try them. I had a few issues with the mag that came with my Kimber, but it as not that model. Heard nothing but terrible things about Promag - not just for 1911s either. Which sucks because my vendors supply them.

10-8 Slide Release - gets rid of the factory one. Also shaped properly to remove the chance of an idiot mark.

I only added dawson precision sights (blacked out adjustable rear, fiber optic front), and a techwell TGO magwell. The stock internals function just fine. My kimber is a royal 2 and is my USPSA Single Stack gun.
