    PPT at Ammo Bros.?

Does anyone have any info/experience with PPT's (Private Party Transfer) at Ammo Bros.?

I was going to use a private FFL, but my Seller is close to an Ammo Bros.

    TIA.

I did one at their Ontario store and it went fine.

I sold my BG .380 to a fellow CGer and we met there. I included the cable lock that came with the gun and they were good with that. He didn't have to buy a new one.

We were done pretty quickly too.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

      Very Good.

Do you remember what the cost was? Any additional store fees?

      Thanks,

        $35

That's all that can be changed.

I've used Ammo Bros for a PPT. In an out in 20 minutes. They're GTG.

Ontario or Cerritos? In my past experience things always went smoothly at the Ontario location, never spent more than an hour in the store waiting to get a transfer done - and they were SLAMMED that day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cerritos, that was a damned nightmare. I did ONE easy transaction there, and that was just initiating the transfer, empty store and a 45 minute wait to get out of there when picking up the gun. That same store gave my buddy a hard time with the stupid gun lock law, one was provided with it for the transfer and they still made him buy one of theirs. And may god have mercy on your soul if you go into that store and they happen to have a few customers ahead of you. Might as well grab your number and go sit down for lunch somewhere.

To be fair. Gun locks must come with gun when it was new (Ruger gun has to have Ruger lock). If u have an aftermarket one, it needs to be purchased within 30 days or they make u buy theirs.

$35 for PPT fee...that is everywhere, they r not allow to charge more.

Been to both Ontario n Cerritos. Both gtg in my book. They do get crowded as most gun stores these days but if u get there when they open, u dont have too wait long.

I did one at the Cerritos location.

SUPER long wait, people go in there VERY uneducated and act like there's no line.

They're cool though, they didn't make me buy a new lock (previous owner included the lock)

Riflegear made me get a new lock.

Did one at the Cerritos location years ago when I lived in Southern California. They had a pull ticket number system, so everyone was helped based on the number they had.

                      Good service and very quick.

Ive done a few at Ontario without problems, done in the late morning when things seem to be a bit quieter/slower.

Had to buy locks too, I just accept it as SOP.

Anything is better than Turners. I just spent 3 hours doing a PPT at a turners.

They're one of the easiest places to do PPT. Next is Riflegear. Another is Gunrunners in Duarte.
