A new to me Gen 2 , with the trigger in the decocked position I can push the trigger forward and backwards. Is this right ? My Gen 3 does not do this as it stays back until the slide is racked. Any help here would be nice.

Just checked my Gen 2. I can pull the trigger forward against some resistance. The trigger will move back if the trigger safety is not in the way.Ruger MkII Target .22lr

When I put the trigger forward the trigger safety sets on. I can then pull the trigger again as long as I pull the trigger safety off, just makes a click when pulled (already decocked) ThanksLead will be worth more than silver and gold when they are giving it away free !
