G19 Gen. 2 trigger question/ possible problem

A new to me Gen 2 , with the trigger in the decocked position I can push the trigger forward and backwards. Is this right ? My Gen 3 does not do this as it stays back until the slide is racked. Any help here would be nice.

Just checked my Gen 2. I can pull the trigger forward against some resistance. The trigger will move back if the trigger safety is not in the way.

Hard to say. On mine, it definitely feels like I am pulling forward against a spring. Does your trigger not move back against the trigger safety if you pull it fully forward?

When I put the trigger forward the trigger safety sets on. I can then pull the trigger again as long as I pull the trigger safety off, just makes a click when pulled (already decocked) Thanks
