yeah well this is only to purchase this handgun out of state, i need a bullet button.

but when i get it ill tac weld a thread protector on it so i can use my GG mags lol

you'll need to have something attached to the barrel in order to make length, before it is DROSed to you, and have a zero-round magblock with the maglock, in order to be SSE.

Do those rules apply to a used gun? I thought this only applied to new off-roster guns.

I got my Cal Compliant SSE MPA .45 through Faith Armory in Temecula, and it was the one that comes from MPA with the tack-welded muzzle brake that extends the barrel and covers the threads, the mag well plug, and the cut off mag release.

Once I got it I removed the mag plug, added the regular mag release lever from MPA, and slapped a grease gun magazine in that bad boy.

I haven't comparison shot it with my original Texas MAC-10 to see if the muzzle brake actually confers any real benefit, but it looks good and doesn't have any negative effect on the already considerable size and weight of the gun, so I haven't bothered to replace it with a shorter thread cover like on my Texas MAC.

the roster applies to all handguns, new or use, except for when the buyer is roster-exempt (such as an LEO) or the transfer itself is roster-exempt (such as a PPT).

it will apply to this used gun just like it would apply to used Glock 17Gen4 that a dealer might have on trade-in.

right, because once you own it, there is no current law prohibiting you from taking a roster-exempt SSE handgun and modifying it into an otherwise legal non-roster-exempt, non-SSE, handgun.

If he was doing a PPT inside CA it wouldn't need to be SSE. However since the OP is looking to purchase from someone out of state it needs to be on the roster or SSE.
