    Collecting Glocks...

So I'm itching to get another Glock. I already own a G17. Do some of you guys who own more than one Glock have two or more of the same model? I was really thinking of getting another G17 because if just fits my hand like a glove. I'm not interested in getting any other caliber other than 9mm. What do you guys think?

G17, Awesome choice. Now you've got to add a 19 and a 26 to your collection!

Sounds like a plan. Remember 2 is 1, 1 is none.

You should look into joning the GSSF. That way you can get a Glock a year at a deep discount.

Let me see..... I have 8 doors in my house so that means that I'll need 8 Glocks to hold them all open...

i am addicted to collecting gen 2 glocks. the holy grail in my collection is a Austrian proof marked glock 19 that was made in the same month and year of my birth.

I wish I had purchased the 17L back in the day.

I have two 22s, two 17s and two 19s. One 35, one 23 and one 27. Redundancy is a good thing.

+1. Owning Glocks in the same caliber is a smart move because you can use the magazines from the larger frame gun in the smaller frame gun. That means fewer magazines to purchase/carry.

Since you already have the 17 (basically full size duty weapon) I would get the Glock 26 next so you have something you can conceal easily during summer weather. Between the two you are pretty much set.

If your goal is a well rounded collection you really only need two Glocks. Once you have the duty weapon and the the concealed carry weapon categories filled you can move onto rifles, or shotguns, and so on.

If you are more interested in building a really cool handgun collection you could also start looking at a different type of gun all together. The 1911 Fever is going around and they make a nice addition/alternative to the Glock.

Owning more than one Glock 26 might be a good idea if you get your CCW because if you have to use it in a shoot the police will take that gun and keep it for the length of the investigation (and then some). So you would need the backup to carry in the mean time. Not that you EVER want to experience that mess. But we plan our contingencies for the worst case scenario. Murphy is a mean SOB after all.

In any case, nice choice with the Glock 17. My favorite handgun as well.

This seems like very smart advice. 1911's are definitely a nice addition to a collection. For daily carry though, I would think Glock would be a more logical choice for more shooters. Especially if you are able to carry more than 10 rounds.
