I just found and bought a beautiful Dan Wesson .357 revolver with an 8" barrel for $400, original box, tools, manuals, even original receipt from 1872. The 8" barrel is too long for me and I would like to find a 6" barrel but in order to do this, I will need to sell the 8" barrel to get the cash to buy a 6" barrel. My question is, what is a realistic price to ask? It is in perfect condition, both shroud and barrel and nut. I see some on Ebay but most are on auctions and the ones with set prices are around $300. I only paid $400 for the whole gun and was wondering if these are people just asking high and hoping to sell or if I can expect to get $300. Thanks in advance, Billy

BTW I didn't know that they made these in 1872.
