At the very least I wipe it down and run a mop through the barrel.

Just put 100 rounds through it this morning and I'm going to give it a good cleaning since I haven't yet since I got it. Still low round count though. >.>

As a test, I once put over 2,500 rounds thru a Kimber TLE/RL without cleaning it over the course of about a month. It never hiccuped once. It's been my HD gun ever since. On the other hand, I've had some that were very intolerant of crud.

The answer is - it depends.

      Being north of

I just jam a bore snake through the night before going to the range.

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

I usually do a quick wipe on/wipe off of Froglube after every shoot, then a more detailed cleaning once a month, during which I also inspect the guns that have been out of my shooting rotation and in the safe.

I clean my guns when accuracy suffers or it stops working.

            Cleaning guns is overrated.

                This.

You could probably go a thousand hours without wiping and function fine. But why would you want to, or brag to people how your butt keeps on trucking despite the absence of maintenance.

I clean after every trip or as soon as possible. Like I wipe as soon as possible. Usually the same day.

When my gun was brand new, after every trip.

After the 500 round mark, Just the bore after every trip, with a general wipe down. I guess I'll do a full field strip clean every other range trip.
