      Yes, you definitely are.

Oh, and how did you get him to put on a fancy shirt over his normal white T-shirt?

I wouldn't sell that thing unless someone made me a damn rich man.

But even then it would be like selling part of my soul.

You know, it;s a funny thing. When I wait a LOOOOONG time for a custom gun. sometimes when it arrives I've mentally moved on to something else. The gun shot well, but I think no better than a regular Gold Cup. Once I got it in my hands I wanted the next thing. And the next. Anyone else feel like that? I got two m1-As that I still have to get to the range and I'l already feeling like I wanna move them for something else...

Longslides are special. I have a Bruce Gray skeletonized longslide that is a tack driver. His personal gun.

                yeah what were you thinking.

I was thinking if I ever REALLY wanted a longslide I could get the long Springfield 1911 they had in their catalog that year.

Jim Hoag is one of the top 10 1911 smiths around, IMHO, and a nice person also. Way back when, I was just starting a new gig and took a 45 up to him for some work. I didn't have a spare at the time and he loaned me one of his personal longslides for work. Been a big fan of his ever since. Just spoke to him about putting togather the 10mm longslide Para I'm building. Should be done in a month or two.

Jim Hoag is the nicest person I've ever met and had work on my 1911.
