There are a bunch of master gunsmiths off the top of my head that I hold in high esteem in no particular order: 1) Paul Leibenberg, 2) Jerry Keefer, 3) Bob Marvel, 4) Jack Weigand, 5) Richard Heine, 6) Ted Yost/Jason Burton, and 7) Ned Christiansen, and "Pistolwrench". I know there are other great smiths out there I'm just not as familiar their work.

As much as I love the 1911 platform, I am excited to see how you can revolutionize it while still paying tribute its roots. And it is even more exciting that you are in California.

How are you going to handle CA's Roster requirements (chamber load indicator, mag disconnect, and microstamping)? In order to manufacture in the state, even if you are only selling out of state, you have to comply with all Roster regs, right?

Assuming the laws don't change after this legislative term, it'd probably be built up as an SSE handgun and then converted after the buyer takes possession (in-state sales) or after it's shipped out of the state.

If you want to get your name out there by having people wear t-shirts and hats with your company name (a type of free advertising) then I would suggest you re-evaluate trying to sell them for rediculous prices.. Maybe you're trying to make them seem "hi-end" and exclusive, but $65 for a t-shirt and $50 for a hat just makes people (even the rich ones) feel that you are most likely overcharging for your firearms as well.

People expect to pay for quality, but they don't expect to OVERPAY for it.

I'll be brutally honest with you Todd. When I see $50 for a hat I just see a company that's trying to rip people off and I want nothing to do with it. You would hate for other people to judge your firearms company based on apparels. You are not Armani. Let your firearms speak for you first before putting the apparels up.

Hi everyone,
I want to thank everyone for your support and feedback! It's much greater than I ever dreamed of. My first production run of shirts and hats were only 20-each... because I was unsure of the market demand. Well, I've far exceeded demand expectations. Hence, I went this morning and placed a much larger order which will help me drop the price down. :-)

As an artist and manufacturer, I want people to enjoy my work. And as a business owner, I will always listen to my customers. I have heard you loud and clear and have tremendously dropped the price of the shirt and cap to $35.00, each so more of can expand your wardrobe.

For those of you that already purchased merchandise, I will refund the difference to you as I fulfill your order this week.

As for the 1911s, I've not yet established a price but I will be serving the luxury firearms market. I noted on one of the 1911 websites that the $50K price merely was an Easter Egg for Internet diehards to find when I submitted my trademark to the USPTO as a fun way to discover what a "Theme Gun" would look like and illustrate that I'm going after a different market segment. I also gave a big clue on my website as to what this prototype version is modeled after... the prototype name is backwards for a 1934 "BMW-R7" motorcycle done in art deco. Who knows, I may eventually release it but my first release is something I believe you will really enjoy and is top secret!
