I love mine, by far the nicest handgun I've ever owned. I'm one of those people who had a problem with the slide not locking back to do my grip and I still love it. Just had to work on the grip a bit

Are the mk25 a limited production or are they going to continue making them for years to come?

One never knows... These days in California if there is something you want to own, its best not to wait. Our fearless fools in Sacramento may take it away before the manufacturer does.

Downfall for me was the crappy location of the slide release... I have large hands, like to get up high on the grip, and my strong hand thumb trips the slide release just enough so that it does not stay open after the last round is fired. The sights and bore axis also "feels" high.

^ Same here... Perhaps an M11-A1, it also has corrosion-resistant internals and mags, + SRT.
But I'll probably go with a p228... if I can find one. Same mags as the p226,
I kinda like that feature on my Glocks.

I have the 226 navy (not the MK25).. Just jailed a P220 Combat, sucker for FDE and love single stacks, so it worked out great. Agreed with the best not to wait, those LCI'd 226's look like a champion German Shepherd that has been neutered.

I really like my MK25. Don't ban me for saying this but for me it shoots smoother and nicer than my old German-made P220 9 mm.

One reason to get an MK25 over a regular P226 is you get the short extractor compared to the long one. This gun soaks up recoil and makes my Glock 17 feel jumpy in comparison (I said in comparison, not that 9 has a lot of recoil...)
