21sf mag ejection issues

I think it's an issue of polymer on polymer-- the frame and mag both being plastic create a friction that make them "stick" to one another. My G19's mags-- even after 1K plus rounds- still get stuck occasionally during speed reloads.

My HK45C which has a polymer frame with metal mags has no issues with the mag sliding out on its own after release.

Has cut outs on both sides of the magazine

So if I push the mag release and the same spot on the opposite side moves its an ambi release? So I'm guessing my 27 is ambi too then if my description constitutes that. My 1911 mag flys out of the well lol

China mags usually do this often being their body is wider than factory. Had that with my Glock 17 mags. But like above after use they wear a little thin and drop better but still not free. This is about 1,500 rounds per mag.

If it bother you that much maybe LIGHTLY sand the body

My 20SF mags drop out nicely, but I have an extended release, which makes it a breeze.

The mags I just bought are factory so im hoping that they slide out better than the mag that came w the gun. Looking into an extended mag release as well

Well the ones that come with the gun are factory so they will probably do the same. But give the news ones a try you never know maybe the mood that made the batch of mags that came with your glock was a bit wider or something. It will probably drop free in time.

If not there is a trick to flip your gun to doing the mag out of the mag wel by turning the gun side ways with good force.

There are two kinds of mags for Glocks, drop-free and non-drop free.
Euros prefer non-drop free so the mag won't be lost of the mag catch is hit accidentally.
The US market generally prefers drop free for faster reloads.
Be sure you are buying the right type of mag for what you want.

Competition shooters often use a weighted base plate to help the empty mags drop out faster.

No, the ambidextrous mag release Gen3 models have a button on each side (as opposed to the reversible mag release that the Gen4's have). The Gen3 21sf ambidextrous mag release models have been known to cause mag issues, but most of the time the issue causes the mag to fall out, instead of get stuck. If your mag release button only sticks out on the left side, it's not the ambi model.

I get it back tmrw morning. Pretty positive its not the ambi model. Fingers crossed the ones I ordered are drop free. All have provided great advice and helpful insight. Ill start from the beginning and check everything.

Well idk how far out its supposed to drop for a non free drop but its feel like its not that. Ill post pics tmrw night

I don't think you need to worry about the drop free vs. non-drop free unless you're using aftermarket mags. The factory non-drop free mags were last made back in the early 90's.
