I would love to get one. My brother carried one as his backup piece when he was on patrol as a LEO.

I'd love to get the new PPK in .22LR, but not on the roster. I need to wait until more flood the market and can PPT the PPK.

Got a stainless Interarms model in .380 through a PPT from an Airman last year. It's really more of a show-off piece because I don't stock ammo for it, although I take it out of the safe every now and then for fun.

I'd love to pick up a blued model if the opportunity ever comes up.

I have an older W. German PPK/S (.380) from the 80s (Imported by Interarms) that was my Fathers. I love the little thing and would not part with it for anything. It's also fun to bring it out to the range everyone and a while, people tend to give it a lot of attention.

I'd love the new .22lr model. I held one at SHOT Show in January and it feels just like it's big brother. Sadly, it lacks the magazine disconnect, and now the microstamping, so it will never be on the Roster. Only hope is you come across a Cali cop that bought one and now wants to get rid of it.

I'm tempted to take a 1 year tour someplace and come back, lol. I could do Cavalier in ND. Come back to Cali with tons of handguns.

I've been told the Bersa Thunder in .380 auto has a grip frame similar to a Walther PPK, but I've never handled one. There are also Hungarian clones that are supposed to be very good for the money.
I have a Bersa Thunder. Cosmetically it's a copy of the PPK, but I think there are some differences. Alloy frame, no loaded chamber indicator and the safety seems to work a little differently. It's been 20 years since I handled a real PPK and I recall it was all steel, had a little pin that stuck out above the firing pin to show it was loaded, and when you dropped the hammer with the decocker the trigger would remain in the rear position until the safety was put back in the fire position. On the Bersa the trigger returns to the DA position when you decock. They got the style right, but I don't think its quite as nice as the Walther.

I have an Interarms PPK/s. Was my carry gun for years until I got a G27. When I needed something more deep cover, I got a Kahr P380. Smaller, lighter, thinner, more reliable function with hollow points, Tritium night sights.
                  The PPK is dated.

I'm not familiar with the ballistics of either round. What makes that so?

Walther makes great pistols. GL on your purchase the PPKs is a great gun.

                          .32 > .380 = WTF?

New math or a timeline? The 32ACP is only an improvement on the 25ACP.

He's not referencing ballistics, he's referring to the preference in PPK's among collectors. It was originally designed for .32 so that format is preferential. He then also accurately lists pecking order for pistol origin. For example, a PPK .380 by S&W is the least valuable of the heritage.

My father has a ppk/s manufactured by Manchurian. Blued steel. It's fun to shoot, decent sights for a small .380. It's pretty thin, so it's lively, and if you don't watch out it'll ride up a bit and bite the web of your hand/thumb. But the cool factor is through the roof.
