I have a PP in .22 rimfire and a PPK/s in .380 auto. Both have the same grip frame and point naturally in my hand. Both have the Walther W. Germnay banner, although they were manufactured by Manhurrin in France. A pre-war, Zella-Mehlis PPK will cost an arm and a leg. A post-war Ulm/Manhurrin PPK will still be expensive because they were not imported into the US, but the PPK/s was. It will be easier to find a US made PPK.
I've been told the Bersa Thunder in .380 auto has a grip frame similar to a Walther PPK, but I've never handled one. There are also Hungarian clones that are supposed to be very good for the money.NRA Life Member

The PA-63 Hungarian is a very nice PP clone and shoots great.
The R63 Hungarian is a PPK clone, and also a nice compact pistol.
I have a Walther PP22 from 1938 (based on the grip frame date) that is a really nice shooter.Comment

I have a Walther ppks, its made by s&w under contract I think. from the '90's got it from my dad. He thinks its the bee's knee's, I think its ok. I do dig that its got the whole 007 thing going on, but stainless is kinda flashy for my tastes though it is all metal which I like. It throws hot 380/9x17 hand loads just fine but i'd rather carry my kahr in .45. If I were to go for something like this my self I think I would go for a Makarov for the cool factor, plus I like blued guns. though you can get some great self defense round in .380WTB m&p 9 5?

Classic, timeless, gorgeous gun. Well worth the SSE.Crime rate per 100k peopleOriginally posted by MitchThe architects of the assault weapon bans ... are simply trying to fight the Culture War. And we can't win, not in California anyway because you guys, the ones with the most to lose, refuse to do what you need to do to win the Culture Wars, which is to make Calguns and the gun rights community a truly big tent and stop driving people away simply because they are different from you.
