    Proof of Residency Question

Yes, another one of those threads (please don't hurt me)

I checked out the CalGuns Foundation Wiki and FAQ and I couldn't find a definite answer. Did a search as well and couldn't find any useful info.

So question is, can you use your college transcripts as a proof of residency for a pistol purchase?

    Thanks
You can give peace a chance...

We'll cover you if it doesn't work out...

You need to read up on the laws again and the wiki pages.

Unless you're trying to keep this a secret from your parents or whoever you're living with, just get a renters agreement printed and signed.

I have also used my private pilot license. It is issued by a branch of the federal government (Federal Aviation Administration). One very fine LGS will not accept it and I take in a copy of a utility bill.

Even per wiki you need to call YOUR shop being every shop has a personal policy on what they do and do not accept even if it should be accepted by terms of the law. They still have the right to reject anything they don't feel is exactly fit or grey being if they accept something that isn't correct they could lose their license.

So again call your shop and have them tell you what they accept. Only way to know for sure. Also so your not like me and get what was posted and make a trip all to find out it may be true but that specific shop does not accept that form of proof.

                    A rental agreement works too.

I've used hunting and fishing licenses before but not all FFLs will take them.

I also use my pilots + driver licenses. The FAA is as legit as it gets.
