    Albuquerque Gunshops??

Anybody have any recommendations for Gun Shops in Albuquerque? I'll be there in Sept and was thinking my daughter might like to buy me an off roster handgun and gift it to me.
She's an Intern at the Med Center so doesn't have hardly anytime to shop around herself.

Why not buy it like everyone else in NM does? PRIVATE SALE.

Be careful here and check state and local ordinances first. Since both parties aren't NM residents, private sale to CA resident may not be legal.

I'm a Kommiefornica resident, shes a NM resident, she can gift me off roster handguns. I can't buy anything there but C&R's. If I lived in an adjoining state I believe I could by long guns there, not sure about handguns. At least many states used to be that way, even NV. Of course that excluded CA residents.

Intrafamilial transfer, not a sale. You can open carry loaded, concealed carry loaded in a vehicle, concealed carry on person with a CCW in NM. I doubt there would be an issue with her gifting me a handgun, it would have to be shipped to my local FFL for transfer though.

That's what google is for. When I'm on the road, I will check google for gun shops in the towns that I will be in for more time Han I want.

You're correct. All Intrafamiliar transfers are roster exempt. You need to check with your CA ffl to make sure they are up on it.

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Yep, he's up on it I supplied him with the info last year. Just haven't been able to capitalize on those efforts yet!

Yes I googled them there are quite a few and I was wondering if anybody on the Forum had any experience there. I knew it's a long shot, if you'll pardon the pun. But you never know until you ask.

I wish I could help you more with that but when I'm out on the road I tend to stop at the gun stores in smaller cities. It's just quicker; IMO, than in the bigger cities. And, if the tires aren't turning I'm not making any money.

Not a problem, some people of the Forum have had contact with NV FFLS I was just hoping someone had the same with ABQ dealers, like I said I knew it was along shot.
Wife doesn't do well travelling so primary goal is to get there and settle in for a few days.
I know about those wheels I was an OO twice, didn't learn my lesson the first time! Found I liked driving for a reputable company better.

Pettersons has a pretty good selection.

Duh, just plain blew this reply off! Sorry!

I googled his shop, great reviews I'll check out the location.

Looks to be about 2 miles from my kids place!

                            Many Thanks!

Lived in NM for a year. Petersons was a great shop then, but that was a while back. Had tons of used guns. I miss going into that store.
