    OPEN UP YOUR SAFE!

I was sitting in the office and thought it would be fun to look into some safes from the members. I keep a very tidy safe because I like to display my California Handguns when I'm working in the office. I'm a big revolver fan as you can tell along with 1911's. I shoot everything I collect.

    1. Tell me if you keep a display type safe or a functioning safe packed to the brim?

    2. What is your favorite gun to collect?

    3. Do you shoot all your Handguns?

Just a general waring to everyone - if you post pictures with your cel phones don't forget to strip the EXIF information out. Most of the time these photos contain your GPS coordinates.

I love that area built around your safe. Is that going to be additional storage?

Good point Tony. One of the first things I do when I get a new phone is turn off geotagging for photos.

There was a great article in the past few years where a journalist wanted to see how easy it was to locate a random person. He went to Golden Gate Park and found a woman taking photos with her cell phone. Then he went to a bunch of photo sites and looked for pictures from that location at that time. When he found some photos that looked like the area she was shooting, he was able to look through her other photos and found some selfies to verify the woman. Then he found some pictures of her house and guess what? They were all geotagged. Within a few hours of seeing a random woman taking pictures, he knew her address. Scary!

^^+1 to this! I was thinking of doing the same when we buy our house, to fortify the safe! Love the setup and collection!

Kind of an old picture, it's a bit more crowded now...

I'm not a cell phone expert, never heard EXIF. How does one strip the EXIF info out of pics?

                      Thanks.

EXIF is the camera info that is attached to every picture, GPS can be part of it. Your operating system might do it easily. I think Win7 has an option if you right click a picture.

You really only need to be careful with your cel phone pictures or newer cameras with GPS.

Cool photos. Not sure about any ramifications of such photo posts, but its fun to look at what others have. Thanks!
