    I would try and find a G21 Gen 4, best .45 Glock I own!

    Glock 19 is also GTG!

Of those I prefer the 17 over the 19. I like the longer sight radius.

You can't go wrong with any of them. I own the 21 and 17. Something to remember is that if you have small hands then maybe the 21 isn't right for you cause of the fatter grip.

I have a 34 which is very similar to a 17, longer barrel, adjustable rear sight, and some other minor stuff. I really like it. Shoots well, is accurate and a breeze to get used to. Can't go wrong with either one.

Actually, the spacing of the first finger groove just under the guard is shorter on the 19 than the 17.

I'd stick with a 9mm. If there ever was a problem with either handgun, your wife may not be able to/or feel comfortable with using the (larger grip) G21.

Either the 19 of 17 will be fine. The only real issue is which one fits in your hand the best.

Concealed carry or not? If CC, I would take the 21 off my list. I think it's an accurate pistol that has mild recoil for a .45, but IMO it's way to big to CC effectively. The 19 is the best size for CC and to me the 17 is the compromise gun meaning easy to shoot well and still fairly concealable without going to a lot of trouble to conceal it. So it depends on what your purpose for the gun is.

The 17 is a work horse. The 19 is a tad smaller. I believe a half inch in the barrel and grip length. The 21 is significantly bigger in grip radius but if you are not carrying it is no deal breaker. I use the 21 for my home defense weapon.

Yeah no ccw, almost impossible in my county. Main use would be recreational and home defense. Might just go with the 17, need to go shoot them again and see which fits best. Thanks for all the input guys.

I have a 17, (2) 19's, 26 and a 30SF and they each shoot different IMHO. I am most accurate with the 30, followed by the 26, 19 and 17....not sure why lol! If I had to choose one, it would be the 19, compact enough for CCW and the capacity of the 15+1 (outside of CA) is an added bonus. Take into consideration the price of ammo and its the clear choice. That said, my next Glock is a 21SF.

Not sure where you live, but a couple of the ranges where I live rent guns....may be worth your while to rent a couple and see what you think.

                                Have fun,
