    Positive experience with ATF

I've had my 03FFL for awhile and just got my COE. I brought home a Ruger LC380 June 10th and had a Colt 1991A1 GI in the same shop paid for and waiting to DROS. The shop wanted a copy of my COE and FFL03 to put in the file so they could exempt me from the 1 in 30. I made a copy of the COE and put it in the safe and looked for my FFL03. It wasn't in the folder where is should be. I looked all over and couldn't find it. Luckily I had several unsigned, high resolution color scans stored on my computer. I printed one up and DROSed my new Colt.

After getting home I emailed the general ATF addy with my name, license number and other info and asked for instructions on how to get a replacement copy. This was on a Saturday night. On Monday morning I received an email saying a fresh copy would be mailed that day. I received it the following Thursday. No charge.

Today while getting ready to scan a document, I found my original FFL03 on the scanner bed, where I last used it.

Interesting that the DOJ was able to send you a copy of your 03 C&R FFL that BATF had issued you.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Yeah - DUH on me. I had DOJ on the brain since I just got my COE. Too many alphabet agencies to keep track of.

In any event, the ATF folks got the replacement sent out quick and free.

I scan my COE, 03 FFL, HSC card and DL into JPEG format then put them all on one page letter size MS-Word file.

Received a new information packet today in the mail. That must be triggered every time a license gets sent out.
